Write your postcards at handsome, custom-cut, wooden side table. Built-out patio includes Adirondack-style chairs and wooden loveseat rocker for breezily taking in the scenery. Dog can frolic in grassy area off patio. Beach chairs, beach umbrellas and beach towels available for your use. For larger groups, we have additional condos just across parking area. (Each unit sleeps 4.) Nestled among 17 acres of stately oaks and tropical landscaping, your peaceful condo complex lies just south of mesmerizing Driftwood Beach, famous for its surreal panorama of ancient, petrified trees. There arguably is no more-fascinating or more-romantic location than Driftwood Beach on any American coast. Convenient pathways connect the complex to your own unspoiled and generally uncrowded beach area just over the dunes – one walkway to the beach starts just steps from your building! There also is a specially constructed, sandy promenade running parallel to the shoreline – an ideal stretch for strolling, sunbathing, and enjoying the awesome views. This totally protected swath also will lead you straight to Driftwood Beach a few hundred yards away. In addition, an elevated boardwalk and pavilion (with deck chairs for perfect seaside relaxation) have been added to part of the promenade. Guest access Complex amenities include a large, partially shaded outdoor pool and adjoining kiddie pool (pools open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day; pool towels provided), picnic areas and outdoor grills, a fire pit, a volleyball court, a basketball half-court, an indoor fitness center, and an engaging playground. There are on-site bike rentals for cruising Jekyll Island’s 22 miles of flat, scenic paths and trails. You’ll be provided keycard access to the free fitness center and the coin laundromat. Wireless Internet service is available throughout the complex. Also around the property are ice and vending machines, bicycle racks, and charging stations for electric vehicles, including golf carts. Within the complex’s welcome center you’ll find the popular Driftwood Bistro restaurant (open 5:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday) plus a 24/7 Village Shoppe for anytime sundries, snacks, beverages, reheatable entrees, apparel, souvenirs and other items. A conference center meeting room may be rented and has catering available. There also is a computer room with a library. Other things to note Make coastal memories here that will last a lifetime!
