During 1972 Cleve added the first two cabins and in subsequent years continued to add to the numbers until he had nine cabins in total. Since this time, two have been combined together. The construction of the Weir enabled a concrete swimming pool to be constructed during the early years. It was first used for the summer of 1972. Today the park is best known for its scenic location, shady sites and peaceful atmosphere. On the adjoining property, also previously owned by Cleve, an airstrip was built.
