This cozy cottage sits in a scenic valley surrounded by the George Washington National Forest, with peaceful farm views, big skies, mountain ridges, and colorful sunsets that make it easy to slow down and stay awhile. The home is especially well suited for couples, small families, close friends, remote workers, and guests traveling with dogs. The large fenced front yard gives pups room to roam while you enjoy coffee on the porch, relax in the hammock, gather by the fire, or simply watch the light change across the fields and mountains. Inside, the cottage is bright, comfortable, and full of natural light. The open living, dining, and kitchen area has beautiful views from multiple windows and a relaxed layout for cooking, eating, reading, or watching TV. A daybed in the living room offers an additional sleeping option and a cozy spot to unwind. The upstairs loft bedroom features a king bed, a TV, and sweeping views of the valley and surrounding mountains. The downstairs bedroom is smaller and cozy, with a queen bed and a picture window overlooking the peaceful farm setting. There are two full bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, along with a full size washer and dryer for longer stays. For guests working remotely, the home includes fast and reliable Wi-Fi, generally around 75 to 100 Mbps, plus a dedicated workspace. Outdoor lovers will have plenty to explore nearby, including hiking, biking, ATV trails, scenic drives, and the surrounding George Washington National Forest. Skyline Drive and Luray Caverns are approximately 30 minutes away, with shopping, restaurants, and other Shenandoah Valley attractions also within easy driving distance. Please note that the farm animals shown in photos may vary. Animals are occasionally rotated for grazing, nursing, breeding, or pasture maintenance, and there may be times when the pasture is empty to allow the grass to recover or grow for hay. Unfortunately we are unable to host cats due to allergies. Service animals are always welcome. When possible, we appreciate advance notice so we can help our cleaning team prepare appropriately. For short-term rental stays in Virginia, emotional support animals are treated as pets rather than service animals, so they are subject to the same pet policies and per-pet fees. 🚼 Family-Friendly Amenities • We love hosting families and provide a pack ’n play, high chair, and children’s tableware. Let us know if you need more than one set of any of these items and we can provide additional with some advance notice. 🚗 Vehicle Access & Parking • The home is accessible by paved and gravel roads. AWD or 4WD may be recommended or required during snow or icy conditions. Parking is available for up to 2 vehicles. Trailers and motorcycles are not recommended. 🧯 Safety & Cleanliness • All bedding, linens, and quilts are professionally laundered between each reservation. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits are provided. 🦌 Wildlife and Surroundings • The home is surrounded by nature, and it is common to see deer, rabbits, foxes, box turtles, groundhogs, and the occasional black bear in the area. Please avoid leaving food, trash, or scented items outdoors, as these can attract wildlife. While the home is serviced by a professional pest control company, occasional insects may make their way inside. We’re just a message away if anything seems out of the ordinary.
