There is a great variety of walks in the area, from the magical woodland estate at the Heights of Abraham (6.5 miles) to the relaxing waterside footpath at Carsington Water (11.5 miles). The spectacular Chatsworth House is also just 15 miles from the property. The space The charming cottage is decorated in a contemporary style, with tasteful accessories and pretty soft furnishings. At the heart of the property is the cosy lounge, with its characterful exposed beam and plump sofas to relax on after a long walk. The wood burner effect electric fire is perfect to snuggle in front of on chilly evenings. Heading outside, the property has enclosed gardens both at the front and the rear. On a warm summer’s day, fire up the BBQ and enjoy a spot of al fresco dining, or unwind with a good book in the pretty summerhouse. Hop on the alpine-style cable car and journey in style to the summit of the Heights of Abraham. At the top, there’s a truly magnificent 60-acre estate, packed with woodland walks, stunning picnic spots, adventure play areas and a tempting cafe. Adventure-seekers will find plenty to get their teeth into at Carsington Water. As well as numerous walking routes around the reservoir and surrounding villages, visitors can also try a variety of water sports, such as canoeing, paddleboarding and sailing.
