Description
"It was clean and had breathtaking views! Well equipped cabin" - Joseph "An amazing spot! Beautiful views!" - Sergio Located in Giant Sequoia National Monument and central to sequoia groves and recreational activities, the Redwood Retreat Cabin offers adventure and relaxation for all ages. Guests have a fantastic view of the forest over the tree canopy with the jagged peak of Slate Mountain in view. The gentle sounds of the nearby river can be heard day and night. Newly remodeled in 2022. The space "Top notch find for Camp Nelson! Perfectly set up for a big group looking to dip their toes in the south sequoia’s. Best part, the view from the balcony that spans the entire house. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back!" - Matthew The open living room with high ceilings and large windows facing the view of Slate Mountain to the south are noticeable as soon as you walk inside. There is a new sofa in the living room, facing a historic, but well-functioning fireplace and entertainment stand with a new TV on it. The TV includes a Roku device for your favorite streaming channels and a DVD player with DVD's. A split air unit in the living room keeps the cabin cool in the summer and warm in the winter. A remodeled kitchen with new appliances greets you as well and opens up to the living room. Around the corner is a dining room table chairs and hutch for your use during meals with continued views of the magnificent natural setting outside so you can keep admiring it while you eat. A large master bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed awaits you down the hall with plenty of closet space, a full bathroom and door access to the large deck outside with the view. A door next to the master bedroom takes you down into the basement where laundry machines are available to you if you want them. On the other side of the living room is a hallway with access to two more bedrooms, each with high ceilings that provide ample space. One room has a queen bed. The other has a bunk bed with a ladder to a loft above it where you can find another twin bed and a trap door that opens up to the living room (fun for kids!) A full bathroom serves those two bedrooms from the hallway. Guest access "It was clean and had breathtaking views! We’ll equipped cabin." - Joseph Guests have access to the entire cabin and the land around it. In addition, guests can access our private river frontage by walking down to the bridge and turning right to the river right before you get to it. Other things to note Our listing says we are 20 minutes from Sequoia National Park - we are not able to change that and Airbnb said they can't change the 20 to the correct number which is 1 hour and 45 minutes from Sequoia National Park. "The cabin was perfect for our group of 4 adults, 3 children, and one infant. The location close the the Tule River was so much fun for the kids and the adults. Deer were always around to enjoy as well. We could walk the "neighborhood" with the kids if we wanted to do any easy walk or, as we did, we were able to walk the Freeman Creek Trail which is about 10 miles away. We definitely would use this cabin again!" - Kevin
