Luna Lakehouse: Views~Kayaks~Lake access~Boat Bay

Our house is absolute waterfront on a huge private block with incredible views of Smiths Lake. Expect daily visits by native birds and find yourself nestled happily by the lake but only minutes away from surf beaches including Seal Rocks, Cellito's, Bluey's, Boomerang & Elizabeth beaches. NO HIDDEN FEES: our rate includes linen, cleaning, parking for 2 cars & 1 boat & use of our kayaks. Your dog is welcome too at no extra charge. Whenever possible I offer an early check-in & late check-out. The space When you arrive, you’ll enter the house through a central foyer and be greeted by a magnificent view over Smiths Lake and beyond to the Myall Lake National Park through a fixed ceiling-to-floor window. The house has a contemporary pavilion design with 3 decks so you can enjoy the view from most rooms in the house. Move to the left of the central foyer into the vast open-plan kitchen/dining/living area with family-friendly sofa, smart TV, air conditioning and combustion fireplace. This space connects to the first deck with outdoor dining table, swinging egg chair and those incredible views. The kitchen/dining area features a modern Caesar stone island, Omega 900 gas stove and a solid dining table that seats 10 people. Having a well-stocked kitchen is important to us when we rent a home, so you will find plenty of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses etc. There is a large self-contained laundry room behind the kitchen with washing machine, dryer and w/c. The master bedroom is on this side of the house, it has a beautiful King-size bed, wall-mounted TV, ceiling fan, walk-in wardrobe and large en-suite bathroom with 2 sinks, a bath tub and separate shower. To the right side of the central foyer you’ll find two bedrooms with Queen beds and ceiling fans. The larger room also has a wall-mounted TV with internal DVD player port. There is a plush bathroom on this side of the house too with a bath tub, shower and separate w/c. A second living/family room has a sofa, air conditioning, Smart TV & DVD player with kitchenette that opens to the second deck complete with outdoor dining table, swinging egg chair and more views. This side of the house offers extra space and privacy especially for big groups and especially useful if you want the teens/kids to have their own space to hang out. Then downstairs you will find our gorgeous ‘Studio’. It is a self-contained apartment with a Queen bed, a slide-out trundle bed underneath, its own lounge area, wall-mounted TV & DVD player, kitchenette, air conditioning, ceiling fan and en-suite bathroom with shower (no bath tub). The Studio also has its own private deck with outdoor lounge furniture and more of those views! OUTDOOR – Backyard, Gardens, Lake access There is private, direct access to the lake via a curated path (with stairs) through native bushland. The view at the lakeside is lovely and you can launch the kayaks from here. Children must be supervised at all times as there is no fencing at the lake’s edge. We have 2 kayaks you are welcome to use. There are strict conditions on the use of the kayaks as listed in the House Rules. Booking is only accepted on the condition that the House Rules are understood and accepted and kayaks are used responsibly. We have a daybed located on the garden edge just outside the Studio that you are welcome to enjoy, as well as a herb garden and fruit trees at the front of the house. Guest access You will have the property for your exclusive use – no sharing with other groups. The garage however remains locked and is for the owner’s use only. You can park 2 cars outside the garage, in the driveway. There is a fire pit area in the backyard and is sealed off – guests must not use or try to use the outdoor fire pit at any time. There is a lovely combustion fireplace in the Pavilion living room area that you can use if you want to have an open fire. Other things to note Dog owners – you must not leave your dog alone in the house. Dogs left alone in an unfamiliar house can fret, bark constantly and sometimes destroy furniture! The region is very dog-friendly so you will need to take your dog with you when you go out. We don’t charge any pet fees, so kindly request that you sweep up any excessive pet fur and put it in the garbage bin to reduce the wear-and-tear on our vacuum cleaner. Unfortunately we cannot accept cats. We are situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood. We are not a party house so cannot accept bookings for parties or events.
