Set in an idyllic part of the North Devon countryside, this secluded log cabin is one of three properties on the owner’s land occupying a serene spot with beautiful rural views. Offering welcoming accommodation for up to four guests, the single-level lodge features a lovely wood burner, a sweet decked terrace, and shared access to a wildlife pond and a covered, heated swimming pool. The space Lying in the heart of Ruby Country, this light-filled getaway is perfect for keen walkers and nature lovers discovering the region’s tranquil wooded trails, bridleways and footpaths. A couple of steps head up to the French doors leading into the lodge’s stylish, bright and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The cheery lounge is perfect for relaxing in, with a sociable central dining table and a beautifully arranged, fully equipped kitchen with a useful breakfast bar. Exploring the cabin further you will find a stylish bathroom and three beautiful wood-lined bedrooms: a cheerful king-size room with a glazed door leading onto the patio overlooking the owner’s orchard, and two sweet singles – one with a handy additional pull-out bed. Stepping outside, the private decked patio has garden furniture and makes a lovely spot for dining alfresco on a sunny evening. You will also have access to a shared patio by the swimming pool, along with the adjoining field and wildlife pond. The picturesque village of Sheepwash is just a mile north, with a friendly Half Moon inn serving fantastic food. The lodge makes a great base for discovering the heart of the Devon countryside, with the Cornish border about 15 miles to the west and the edge of Dartmoor 15 miles south. There are plenty of family attractions throughout this stunning area including Okehampton Castle, Dunsland Park, RHS Garden Rosemoor 11 miles, Finch Foundry, Roadford Lake and Dingles Fairground Museum, all within 16 miles. And for a day out on the coast, Westward Ho! Beach is only 18 miles away, and is the perfect sport for surfing and sandcastle building. Or visit the famous Clovelly which is under 20 miles away. Please bring your own beach towels for the swimming pool.
