Ground Floor: 2 bedrooms, including a handicapped-accessible queen with accessible shower — perfect for elderly relatives or those who prefer no stairs. Second Floor: 5 spacious bedrooms, all with private ensuite baths, including the bridal suite with fireplace and clawfoot tub. Third Floor: 7 bedrooms, including two suites ideal for families or kids. A Private Vermont Estate Outside, the mansion is surrounded by towering pines and private lawns. The pond is scenic (not swimmable), and right next door you can meet the famous llamas at the Robert Todd Lincoln Family’s Hildene Estate. Resort-Style Amenities The Battenkill Valley Mansion was built as a wedding present for the daughter of the owners of The Wilburton Mansion. As a Battenkill Valley Mansion guest, you’re invited to enjoy: Summer (Memorial Day–mid-September): Outdoor pool, tennis courts, volleyball, basketball hoops, and giant chess. Winter (November–April): One free private 1-hour swim in the indoor heated pool at The Wilburton’s clubhouse. Additional swim time year-round in the indoor heated pool may be reserved: $150/hour or $250 for 2 hours. This unique connection lets your group enjoy the privacy of a mansion while still having access to the resort-style perks of The Wilburton. Pet-Loved Mansion 🐾 We’re so proudly dog-friendly, we were featured on Animal Planet with our Canine Concierge, Jetson! Guests often say “our dogs were treated like family.” The hardwood floors throughout the mansion make it ideal for four-legged friends. All breeds are welcome ($125/dog/stay; crates recommended). Location The mansion feels so private it’s like a world away, yet it’s only 1 mile to Manchester Center for year-round shopping, dining, and outdoor adventure. Conveniently located 4 hours from NYC/Boston and 90 minutes from Albany International Airport. For winter fun, Bromley Mountain is just 8 miles away and Stratton is 18 miles away. Guests come from all over America for this rare combination of spaciousness, privacy, and history. This is a turn-of-the-century gem in fabulous condition, filled with artwork and character. Guests often describe it as “huge, beautiful, and perfect for big families.” Fireplaces are electric and decorative (not wood or gas). Linens are provided (except pool towels). Event facility fees apply for weddings and celebrations (up to 75 guests).
