Pass through the hall way into a masterpiece of a dream kitchen. Bleached solid oak custom cabinets with both open and closed shelving provide so much storage area. On one side of a waterfall style white quartz island is the fridge, sink and stove. On the opposite side is your coffee station. The kitchen will satisfy a seasoned cook, but we recommend that you try the local restaurants in town. Do not miss out on the local food scene! The island seats three, and additional booth provide seating for 6-8. Bedroom number 5 is off the kitchen on the first floor. It has two twin beds. With enough notice, we can place a king size bed instead. The room has its own ensuite bathroom that is wheel chair accessible. It also had a desk and a chair for guests wanting to work or be in a zoom call. Go up the solid oak stairs to the second floor. The four bedrooms are all upstairs. The primary bedroom has a balcony that overlooks into a beautiful neighborhood view. The community garden open space area is always well kept, and all the homes in the community are architecturally interesting. The pieced résistance is the massive bathroom with gorgeous soaking tub, river rocks lined shower booth, private toilet that you can close a door to, and even a urinal! The other three bedrooms all have ensuite baths. Please look at the photographs to get a better idea. There are four designated work spaces for remote workers, remote students, or someone who likes to write! The upstairs large living room has a 75inch smart TV. Bring your own game console for some serious gaming, or pour yourself a drink from the wet bar and wine/beverage fridge. No, we do not provide the drinks. You will have to stock the wine fridge yourself. There are two additional balconies. One off the bedroom 4, and one off the living space. Laundry room with large capacity washer and dryer is also on the second floor. The entire house is for yours to enjoy. The linen and supply closet may be locked depending on the length of your stay. We will provide a code for the front door. The community is gated. We would like to meet you on the day of check in to usher you through the gate, and hand you the gate remote. We will also provide one garage door remote. The garage can park two cars tandemly. Street parking is also allowed. McAllen, Texas is a bustling border town where the Mexican nationals come to "McAllear" which means to to shop and eat out in American style in McAllen. In Winter time, many people come from the north to escape the snow. These folks are "Winter Texans" and they comprise a significant portion of our community. The locals are predominantly hispanic and Spanish speaking. I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, but spent part of my youth in northern California. From my own personal frame of reference and perspective, I find McAllen a fantastic place to raise a family. It is so safe here, people are friendly and kind. Food is not your typical TexMex, but more close to Mexican. However, there is an endless choices for American restaurant chains here. The retail scene, especially at La Plaza Mall is quite impressive. Where large Malls are shutting down in other metropolitan centers, there is no fear of that here. La Plaza Mall boasts being the number one grossing (per square feet) mall in the USA! One thing you might find surprising here in McAllen is the night life. The night scene is not only for the bar hopping young crowd. Restaurants are full with families with even very young children, dining and celebrating late into the night. When I drive around at night, I am surprised to see the restaurant parking lots filled with so many cars. It is not only the Winter Texans and the Mexican Nationals who frequent McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley. We are famous for our world class birding. Two of the main migratory paths meet in the area, allowing for double the number of species, and many tropical birds come all the way up to McAllen but no further. We have several nature preserve areas designated as "World Birding Centers". This beautiful home is centrally located so you can make day trips to all the famous parks. We are also less than five minutes away from the airport and the McAllen Convention Center. Whether you are coming here for work or pleasure, or looking to relocate to McAllen, this place will make you feel at home instantly. We are in south McAllen, just to the south of the 83 Freeway. Close to everything, easy access to the freeway, but feels very secluded. You have got to come and see for yourself! You will definitely need a car to get around. Uber is available locally.
