Not only is this lakeside cottage renovated with a stunning modern design, but it also boasts everything you need for the perfect Deep Creek vacation. Lakefront and dock? Check! Large outdoor fire pit with plentiful seating and outdoor lights? Definitely. Lower level bar cabinets with ping pong table, couch, and smart TV? Got it! New furnishings, comfortable beds, and an open floor plan? Absolutely. Location highlights: The home is lakefront, with the lake water laying a short walk in front of the home. The lakefront is shared with the neighbors, including a community dock structure, although the home does come with a dedicated dock slip. The walk to the lakefront takes about one minute. Fox Den is located in the central lake area but tucked away along a quiet community road. Upon leaving the home, you will find Dutch's at Silver Tree, the lakefront Harbor Bar, along with the popular Honi-Honi bar about a 1-2 minute drive from the home, as well as the Arrowhead Market, a local convenience store with a liquor store, fabulous deli, and basic grocery/home needs, which is open 24-7. Sleeping arrangements: There are no sleeper sofas or futons in this house. All sleeping arrangements are in beds. 2 king beds, 1 queen, 1 twin single bed and one twin bunk bed. Gym/ Pool Access: This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy. Dog Friendly Notice: Maximum of two dogs per reservations. A $175/non-refundable fee will be added for each dog. Dogs should be well-behaved, trained, and friendly; dogs with a history of aggression or destruction are not permitted. In order to comply with many of our home’s rental insurance policies, breeds listed as most aggressive are banned for all rentals, regardless of individual training and temperament. If you are planning to bring a dog, please reach out to us upon booking to discuss your dogs breed to get final approval from our staff. * Winter Advisory: Deep Creek is a mountainous region that experiences more snowfall and ice than you may be used to. Many roads and driveways can be steep. 4WD/AWD vehicles are advised in the winter months. * Guest access Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am. An early check in or late check out may be arranged in advance (for an additional fee) if it is available. Enjoy a contactless check-in, directly at the property with the a custom front door code, just for your stay. Other things to note ​​Deep Creek Lake is an idyllic vacation destination with so much to do, see, and discover— in all four seasons! While the ‘star of the show’ is undoubtedly the lake itself— with boating and tubing and restaurants on the water— the fun and adventure does not end there. The Deep Creek Lake area is home to many popular state parks (including the fan-favorite Swallow Falls State Park, boasting MD’s tallest waterfall), golf courses (like the award-winning Lodestone course), adventure sport destinations (like the mountaintop whitewater rafting course at the Adventure Sports Center International), and so much more. Wisp Resort, located in the central lake area, is well-known for skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing in the winter, but should be on your ‘to visit’ list, no matter the season. They’ve also got several golf courses, ropes courses, mountain biking trails, and even an outdoor mountain coaster, just to name a few of their activity highlights. For families with children, you’ll want to check out the interactive Discovery Center at Deep Creek State park for a fun (and educational!) dive into our local biosphere and animal life (and check out the sandy beachfront at the state park, while you are there). Later, the mini golf at Funland, the Arcade at Fun Unlimited, and the Deep Creek Ninja Factory are sure-fire hits with all kids. In summer, you won't want to miss taking a trip to The Lakeside Creamery for their famed— and fabulous!— homemade ice cream. We’ve got breweries (Mountain State Brewing Company, Short Story Brewing Company), artisans (Simon Pearce Glassblowing, Deep Creek Lavender Farm, and Firefly Farms), horseback riding (Circle R Ranch and Western Trails) and outdoor adventures, aplenty (Monkey Business Ropes Course, All Earth Eco Tours). Then, at the end of the day, if you want a peaceful place to relax with an amazing lake view and a cocktail, we’ve got places for that, too (Firewater Kitchen + Bar, the Harbor Bar, the Honi Honi). Deep Creek has something for everyone!
