Welcome to the Red City Retreat in Earlville, NY. Located just 5 miles south of Colgate University, enjoy this entire quaint and charming old home, updated to welcome the modern traveler. The space This restored 1853 home has 3 bedrooms upstairs w/ 2 extra beds in the den downstairs. Enjoy use of the full kitchen, large dining table, living room, and sun porch. Bathroom with combined bathtub and shower is located on first floor. The home offers free off-street parking, outside patio furniture, picnic table and grill (charcoal not included). Keyless smart lock and laundry also included, as well as complementary fresh ground Caffe Vita coffee! The house has one set of stairs to access the upstairs bedrooms. There are 12 stairs, with handrails. The stairs are moderately steep, as can be expected from an older home. The Red City Retreat can accommodate 1-7 guests. There is one bathroom downstairs with a shower/bathtub. There are three bedrooms upstairs, with queen, full and twin beds. The den downstairs has a day bed with a pull-out trundle (two twin beds – 100 lb. weight limit on each bed). The ceilings on the main living area are standard height, however, the upstairs has lower ceilings, which could be challenging for some – if you are over 6’ tall you will have to stoop to walk in the upstairs landing area and master bedroom. Because we live just a minute or so away from the property, we make every effort to greet each and every one of our guests upon arrival. Just so we (and you) can put a face to the name and we can answer any questions you have on arrival. We will then leave you to your stay, unless you need anything or have an questions/concerns etc. We may on occasion contact you ahead of time should we need to water outdoor plants/flowers or do lawn work during your stay - we will check in with you first. Please familiarize yourself with our house, rules and other information we provide. Guest access The entire house is yours to enjoy during your stay. Full kitchen with large dining table, bar area (alcohol not included), living room, smart tv, wifi, relaxing den with books and board games, outside area (weather permitting) with patio furniture, picnic table & charcoal grill (charcoal not included). Other things to note Earlville is located in-between Syracuse, Utica & Binghamton, right in the heart of Central N.Y. Colgate University is only a 5-minute drive on the same road. Other colleges close-by: S.U.N.Y. Morrisville, Cazenovia College, Hamilton College, Hartwick, and S.U.N.Y Oneonta.
