It’s a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of every season. Whether you’re watching snowfall along the riverbanks or soaking in the first signs of spring, the setting feels like its own retreat. The cabin sits on a private double lot with spacious decks, outdoor seating, and a firepit overlooking the water. A set of stairs leads to the river’s edge, where the shoreline is level and easy to access—great for wading, fishing, relaxing, or simply taking in the view. The quiet neighborhood is perfect for peaceful walks, and the 2‑mile loop is a favorite for morning strolls. Inside, the home is newly renovated and thoughtfully maintained, as it’s also used as a family retreat. The kitchen is fully stocked, the living areas comfortably seat ten, and every bedroom features high‑quality mattresses for a great night’s sleep. Upstairs, you’ll find a king room with a private balcony, a queen room with two beds and family entertainment, and a multipurpose room with a pull‑out bed, laundry, and workout space. A full bath with double vanities and a walk‑in shower completes the upper level. Downstairs offers another queen bedroom with deck access, a full bath with a soaking tub, and a spacious family room perfect for gathering, playing games, or unwinding after a day out. The location puts you close to everything the Shenandoah Valley has to offer. Winter guests can enjoy skiing and snow tubing at Massanutten—just 15 minutes away—while spring brings hiking in Shenandoah National Park, kayaking, tubing, fishing, breweries, wineries, local shops, Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, canopy tours, and more. JMU and Harrisonburg are also an easy drive for campus visits or events. Guests have full access to both lots, plenty of parking, and extra amenities like river towels, a hammock, tubes, and additional outdoor seating. The kitchen includes multiple coffee makers and essentials like spices, oils, and baking basics—everything you need for a comfortable stay. We’re always available to help and make your visit seamless. You’ll receive a unique entry code before check‑in, and we’re flexible with arrival and departure when possible. From the moment you inquire, we’re here to support your stay and welcome you to a place we truly love. Guest access Our guests have full access to the property, as well as the adjacent lot where the fire pit and river access are located. The double lot provides extra privacy and space for outdoor activities. There is plenty of parking and a wide driveway for ease of getting in/out of the premise. The shed has a side covered shelter that includes clean camping chairs for the river side and firepit as well as some tubes. The stairs leading down to the river provide ease of access and the river front is the best, level space to wade into the water, fish or just relax. We also include a hammock and hammock chair (stored on shelf in kitchen) to use as well as river towels during your stay. Other things to note We provide fresh linens including bed sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels and river towels should you need them. There are different types of coffee makers in the kitchen, including a Keurig/Latte combo, standard coffee pot, old fashion drip or French press. We have spare coffee on hand as well as a variety of spices, sugar, flour and oils and vinegars. We also provide bottled drinking water and just updated our water to a charcoal filtration system. Our family of 6 uses this home regularly so we try to keep it well stocked and maintained for our guests to enjoy as much as we do.
