Up North Rambler // Modern Updates to Enjoy!
Fully renovated 3 bed/2 bath and comfortably accommodating 6 guests with modern updates located in Fargo. The Up North Rambler is north of downtown; close to one of the local hospitals, NDSU (go Bison!), the Fargodome, and Hector Int'l Airport. Multiple stores, restaurants, breweries and local attractions for everyone in the family. Whether a vacation, staycation, or if you are needing a place to stay for weddings, family reunions, concerts, graduation or a business trip - you'll love it here! Our 1950s rambler has been completely renovated, while doing our best to maintain its original character, like the refinished hard wood floors. We kept it bright with all things simple to make you feel cozy and right at home, but of course had to add in some luxuries like the built in fireplace - sometimes you just want that ambiance, right? Each room has been given new floor, new paint, new hardware, light fixtures and those details to that say this house has been touched with love... to the point where we almost moved in ourselves! BEDROOM + BATHROOM Upstairs: There are 2 beds/1 bath. One king bed in the master, one queen in the next door bedroom and a separate bathroom with a tub/shower. Downstairs: There is 1 bed/1 bath. One queen bed and the bathroom has a walk-in shower. ** Please note that linens may vary by color or material in pictures (ie quilt vs comforter). KITCHEN Are you a coffee or tea drinker? If so, you'll love the Ninja coffee pot that you can set in the evening to choose which time you would like to have it ready in the morning. There are coffee filters with coffee in the cupboard next to the stove. We also have an electric kettle for tea lovers, or if you need to boil water quickly. DINING ROOM The dining room seats 4 people. LIVING ROOM The upstairs living room has a 55" smart TV and the downstairs has a 65" smart TV. Enjoy your favorite Netflix or Amazon movies by logging into your account. The only extra benefit upstairs is if you want to turn the fireplace on (black remote on mantle), otherwise they're both ready for lounge time! OFFICE SPACE If you are here on a work trip or need to do some seated work, you'll find a desk and chair downstairs. AIR + HEAT While there isn't central air, there is an A/C unit upstairs (remote on mantel) with multiple ceiling fans upstairs - each bedroom, as well as the dining room and living room. The ceiling fan remotes are by the light switches in each room and you can either turn off/on the light or fan - and fan speed - using the remote. The only remote not visible is the dining room ceiling fan, which is inside the closet door in the dining room. Downstairs stays a bit cooler, and with that, we have a little heater if you need any extra warmth. The thermostat is in the upstairs hallway, feel free to adjust as needed, but leave at 65 degrees when you leave. There is one extra stand up fan in the storage room; with some extra humid days during the summer months, the fan is nice in the upstairs hallway to push air from the living room to the bedrooms. OUTDOOR AMENITIES Like stated earlier, enjoy the outdoors as much as you are able to - if it isn't too windy, there aren't too many mosquitoes, or pending wintery conditions! We love the backyard, it is 3/4 fenced in. There are Edison bulb lights on the deck, as well as in the shed. If you plug them in, please unplug them before you go (updated 11/15: squirrels ate through the cords, so, we may or may not update this as we have a lot of little friends that may repeat this action). The fire pit is yours to you, but we ask that you supply firewood. A QR code is on the grill if you are unfamiliar with how to use the pellet grill, there is a bucket of pellets on the deck to fill as you need. GARAGE + PARKING While the garage is off limits, the driveway is great and can fit multiple vehicles, otherwise adequate parking is available on the street. Be sure to pay attention to street signs, more commonly in the winter with snow removal. TOILETRIES + HOME ESSENTIALS Don't worry about bringing the essentials, though some people prefer to bring their own personal items. Starter kits are provided when it comes to bathroom toiletries (i.e. shampoo and conditioner, body wash, feminine products). In the kitchen, it is fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes, olive oil and spices, and again those starter kits for coffee and tea. No refrigerated condiments are provided. Self check-in is available in which you will be provided with a code specific to your stay. A quiet, charming neighborhood with character homes in North Fargo.
