Traditional Medieval Stone house in "Ano Syros"

Unique, stone traditional house, within the medieval settlement of Ano Syros. The residence has been licensed by the Greek National Tourism Organization as a tourist accommodation. It dates back to the late 16th century. Completely renovated without changing its traditional character. Upstairs is the living room (with a sofa-double bed) as well as the kitchen (outdoor). Downstairs is the bedroom, with a double bed, and the bathroom. Ideal for two people, while it can accommodate up to four. A unique, stone-built, traditional house, sited within the medieval town of "Ano Syros",(1.200-now). The House building is dated back to the late16th century! It is completely renovated, using its original materials!! with not a slight alternation of its traditional character. The residence is spread over two floors. On the upper floor there is a living room (with a double sofa bed) and the kitchen (outdoor). On the lower floor you will find the bedroom, with a double bed and a bathroom. Ideal for two people, while accommodates up to four. Guest access The traditional settlement of Ano Syros is built in steps (on stairs). For this reason, access by means of transport is not possible within the settlement. However, the house is located relatively close to an entrance of the settlement (called "Persinos"), where there is free parking. From there it takes about 2 minutes to walk up the stairs (about 60 steps). The entrance is shown on the map on the back (west) side of the settlement. If you want, you can also approach it from two other - more distant - entrances (Ano Terma - San Tzortzis and Kamara) where there is also free parking. The traditional settlement of the Old Town of: "Ano Syros" is the first settlement of the Island. Dated from 1200 AD till now, it was built as a natural fortress, on top of a hill, so as to avoid pirates and other intruders. Therefore, the whole Town is built on different levels, through staircases. For this reason, access by means of transportation is not possible into the Town. However, the house is relatively close to an old Entrance of the settlement (named "Persinos"), where you can park your car, free of charge. From this point you will need to walk around 2 min, climbing up stairs (about 60 steps distance, which is, relatively, close). This entrance is located at the rear (west) side of the settlement, so it is not very crowded or busy. However, if you like, you might also reach the house entering from two different entrances (which are main, but a little bit further) named: “Ano Terma-San Tzortzis” and “Kamara”), where you might also find a free parking, for your vehicle, and then walk down, or up, to the house, by steps. Other things to note Cleaning Services Fees are charged for cleaning after leaving the apartment. Cleaning fees are charged once and relate to cleaning after the apartment is handed over.
