Cheval Blanc is the ideal holiday destination for those wishing to discover the charms of the Luberon and ancestral Provençal culture. The village owes its name to the inn called thus, which served as a relay for travellers before taking the ferry to cross the river. Nature is omnipresent and the hiking routes that cross it are numerous, amongst century-old olive trees, intoxicating lavender and bucolic hills. Peaceful in places, lively in others, the village is a true haven of peace, in the heart of the Luberon Regional Natural Park. With a rural and traditional appearance, the streets and buildings form a charming and harmonious ensemble for strolling and discovering Provençal architecture. To delve further into the discovery of this unique architecture, the Church of Saint-Paul or the Chapel of Sainte-Thérèse are remarkable points of interest. The lovely busy streets in the heart of the village await walkers, with their share of bars, gourmet restaurants and local shops. Numerous car boot sales and night markets punctuate local life and bring cheerfulness to the village streets. Other curiosities, natural ones at that, the canals of Carpentras and Saint-Julien, originally used to power the wheels of mills, give the place a unique atmosphere. The garden comprises: A pleasant private chlorine pool in service from April to end of October (8m x 4 m, depth of 1.50 m to 1.90 m, with access by steps and secured by an alarm). A lovely private terrace of 80 m2 facing West in the shade of the many trees on the property, and furnished with a large outdoor table, 6 chairs, 4 sun loungers and 2 garden sofas. A gas and traditional barbecue is at your disposal The house is semi-detached on one side. The second semi-detached part consists of apartments rented on a yearly basis. The entrance to these dwellings is independent from the main entrance of this rental. Interior This charming house with private pool at Cheval Blanc extends over 160 m2, spread over two levels. Its carefully considered contemporary décor favours natural materials, combining modern comfort with traditional Provençal architecture. The house was moreover renovated in the mid-1990s, to give this former coaching inn a modernity appreciated by our guests. Ground Floor A large open-plan living space of 95m2 divided between: A beautiful fully equipped kitchen of 12m2 with fridge, oven, microwave, hob, filter coffee maker and Nespresso coffee maker, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. A large air-conditioned living room of 45m2, a Tv equipped with a Dvd player. A pleasant dining room of 38m2. The fireplace and stove are not in service. An independent Wc with hand basin. 1st Floor -A bedroom of 18m2 air-conditioned with a double bed 180 and an adjoining bathroom with bath, shower and two wash basins. -A bedroom of 15m2 with a double bed 140. (Occupants of this bedroom must go to bedroom 1 to wash) -A bedroom/studio of 30 m², air-conditioned and equipped with an adjoining bathroom (1 wash basin, shower and independent Wc), for 2 people with 2 single beds or a double bed 180, as well as a complete kitchenette: (fridge/freezer, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker) An independent Wc. Maximum occupancy: 6 people. Deposit: €500. End of stay cleaning mandatory: €150. Household linen included (sheets, duvets, pillows, bath towels, tablecloths and tea towels). You will need to provide your own pool towels. Small pets allowed on request with a supplement of €35/animal. Free Wifi connection. The house is maintained using eco-labelled products. Only organic fertilisers are used for the garden, which is composed solely of local plant species.
