SOLAR! Gorgeous views from every room, Pool, A/C

House Aceso was newly listed on the rental market at the very end of 2022 after five full months of renovations, upgrades, and new furniture/appliances shipped in. Come spend some time unwinding and relaxing while soaking in the incredible views. Located on the quiet side of the island in Coral Bay, our home is nestled among the natural beauty of St. John—home to wild goats, sheep, and donkeys! Grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and beaches are all a short drive away. The space House Aceso is a two-story home with stairs located outside that connect the levels. Top Floor: The main living area, dining area, kitchen, and a full bathroom with a semi-outdoor shower. Bottom Floor: Two bedrooms (one king bed and one queen bed), a full bathroom, a laundry area, and a workstation for remote work or personal use. The separation of floors provides privacy and quiet—perfect for groups with night owls or early risers. Both floors and bedrooms feature split A/C units, but the cool Caribbean breezes often make A/C unnecessary. Sliding glass doors with screens on both levels open to expansive views of the azure sea and surrounding islands. Outdoor Highlights: Pool Deck: The pool is located on a lower deck, away from the main living areas, ensuring a tranquil retreat. Lounge chairs, Adirondack chairs, and stunning views make this space unforgettable. Pool House: A shaded pool house with a small outdoor fridge and a comfy egg chair for lounging adds extra comfort. Additional Features: Modern tile flooring upstairs and new furnishings throughout. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave) and cooking essentials like a blender, coffee maker, air fryer, Ninja cookware, and a large variety of spices. A gas grill on the front porch (ideal given the breezy conditions). Beach gear provided, including towels, snorkeling gear (full-face masks), beach chairs, and several coolers. We are now fully solar powered! The three Tesla batteries kick in if the power goes out (which is very common in the island) and you won’t even know! **Please note that it is possible to use all of the stored solar energy up during prolonged power outages - especially during stormy/overcast days - but this is rare. Guest access This home is perched high above Coral Bay for unmatched views. The road leading to the house is a ½-mile stretch of mostly unpaved terrain that can be rocky and rough in spots. A high-clearance vehicle is required, and the road’s condition can vary depending on rainfall. You MUST have a rental vehicle as taxi's rarely come to Coral Bay and definitely don't come up the mountains! Other things to note Hosts:The hosts live next door in a small cottage. The deck of their cottage ties into the deck of House Aceso, but everything is separate except for the shared first set of stairs down to the pool. On rare occasions, the hosts may need to access their laundry or storage area via these stairs. We own a store in Cruz Bay and are usually gone all day every day! Road to the Property: The road is maintained collectively by neighbors, with sections paved as funds allow. Be prepared for an adventure depending on the weather! The road is rough but the view at the top makes it worth it! Cats: House Aceso is a feeding station for island cats. About eleven cats roam the property. Most will stay hidden or keep their distance, but a couple of them are friendly and might greet you. Pool Access: Note that there are 50 stairs from the top floor to the pool.
