Description
The Bryan House is a 12-acre historic (circa 1830s) estate, just outside of Lexington, in Jessamine, County. Memories can be captured in front of the towering façade of columns, or among the other beautiful backdrops that the property has to offer (e.g., swimming pool, balconies, pastures, horse barns, etc.). From the moment one steps foot inside of the home, guests will feel the warmth & comfort of days gone by... Note: Owners live on site and share some areas (eg, pool, front acreage, etc). The space Owners live and work on the property inside private areas within the main house, as well as guest cottage and barns. All guest private areas will not be accessed by the owners during their stay (unless requested and/or notified in advance by the owners). All barns, pastures, decks/pools, and outside property areas may be maintained and/or used by the owners during a guests stay. Owner's small farm animals and personal pets may be on property during any stay (but not in the main house). Google "The Bryan House KY" for vid & more pics! Guest access Guests may have access to all main house areas, EXCLUDING private owners quarters, the library and others locked rooms not listed. The garages and carriage house are not accessible to guests. The pool, porches, balconies, large barn and all other outside areas & pastures are available for guest use and shared with owners. The only outside exclusions are the antique car garage and small red [animal] barn. Access to both of these may be available if the hosts/owners are in town. Guests may use/share the pool and/or pool deck during guest stays. During your stay Owners may utilize pool and pool deck during guest stays, while still giving guests plenty of privacy and personal space. Other things to note This is a 185 year old property. While it has been meticulously restored (and maintained), it still has 185 year old 'features' (e.g., uneven floors, doors & hallways in some areas, as well as a step up/down here and there---- inside and outside). Additionally, while most doorways are wider than today's standards, the property is not ADA compliant (due to it's age and historical relevance, meaning it cannot be changed).
