The apartment is equipped with dishwasher, electric fireplace, custom-tile shower, and full kitchen. Just half a mile from downtown, and steps from the Currier Museum of Art, it's the perfect place to call home. Originally built for a wealthy mill worker and his family, this property now has a new life as 8 apartments. 6 are located in the main house, and 2 in the carriage house. This apartment was fully-renovated in 2022 with modern electrical, windows, plumbing, a beautiful new bathroom and an updated kitchen. The large bedroom features a spacious closet, dresser and king-size memory foam mattress with pillow top. The smaller bedroom has a queen-size memory foam bed, storage cubes, and closet. There is a thermostat in the living room, but it's an old building, and can get drafty on the coldest nights. The electric fireplace can be used for extra warmth. 3 window air conditioning units are available June-August. They are located in the attic, kitchen and largest bedroom. Smart-TVs are available in the large bedroom and living area. Guests may log-in to their own streaming services. We don't have cable or local channels. The is a small attic office space that can be accessed through the attic. Watch your head going up the stairs! The ceiling is low. A washer and dryer, and small gym area are located in the basement of the main building, and available for your use. The spacious fenced-in lawn & patio area are perfect for you and your dog! Just make sure to check with other dog owners before approaching their dogs. The back patio has a seating area and grill that are available for your use. Please remember to clean up after yourself and your dog. The space is all yours! Contactless check-in, and check-out are possible with keypad locks. You can come and go as you please, but we are nearby in case you need anything. Scott's family lives in the main house, and we live a few streets over. The apartment is located in a neighborhood full of beautiful, historic homes with several parks within walking distance. Downtown bars and restaurants are 0.5 miles away. We're just over 2 miles from Elliot Hospital, and 1.5 miles from Catholic Medical Center. Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is a 15 minute drive. The best way to get around Manchester is by car. A city bus stop is located 0.5 miles from the house, but service can be unpredictable. There is also a bus station downtown with limited service to Boston and New York. Uber and Lyft are available throughout the area, but plan ahead if you're traveling late-night or early-morning. We love this historic home, but it can be drafty, the floors are squeaky and there are lots of stairs! One parking space is available in the small parking lot in front of the home. It's a tight squeeze, but does fit a car or small truck. Extra or oversized vehicles must be parked on the street. Security cameras are located around the exterior of the property, and in the basement laundry room. There are no cameras in the apartment. One dog is allowed as long as they're friendly, quiet, and kept on a leash until it's confirmed that they get along with the other dogs at the property. No cats allowed. Absolutely no smoking/vaping of any kind is allowed anywhere on the property, including the patio and yard. $250 additional cleaning fee for violations. Please try to keep noise to a minimum. The apartment under this one is occupied, and one of the tenants works from home.
