Peaceful Log Cabin – 5 min to Red Mt. & XC trails

The Stargazer is nestled in the snowy Kootenay mountains—just 5 minutes to Red Mountain Resort and right next to Blackjack’s extensive cross-country ski trails. Only 6 minutes to downtown Rossland. This artistic winter retreat offers peaceful privacy on 5 acres with mountain views. After a day on the slopes or trails, unwind in the red cedar barrel sauna and cozy up by the fire in a stylish living space that blends modern design with rustic log cabin charm. The space The Stargazer is where log cabin life meets modern comfort. Let's take a walk through the property: The living room has a comfy sectional for guests to cozy up by the gas fireplace. Nearby, in the dining space, you will find a cubby in the corner full of fun family board games and a variety of reading material and toys. Guests can prepare some delicious drinks on the drink bar adjacent to the dining space while whipping up delicious meals in the fully stocked kitchen. You may want to take turns on chef duty as the kitchen space is on the cozier side. Serve your masterpiece meals within a covered dining space just outside the front door or inside in the dining space set for six. Passing through the kitchen, the bathroom is straight ahead. It is small but has both a shower and bathtub with excellent water pressure. The bidet, with its multiple settings, is an experience you didn't know was missing in your life. Beside the bathroom you'll find a stacked washer and dryer. These are 'micro sized' which means they do half loads at a time. Cleaning detergent and stain remover is provided. The second bedroom past the laundry space is cute and cozy with a comfortable queen bed and a closet space for your belongings. You will find a luggage rack, iron and ironing board in the closet area. The window frames a private, lush forest scene. Back out in the living room, the gorgeous natural wood spindled staircase takes you up to the loft. This space was designed with the hygge concept in mind. A variety of soft textures, soothing colors, silky Egyptian cotton sheets and super soft faux fur bedding makes the King sized bed your favourite place to drift off. Also in the loft, the 55" screen tv is situated in front of a very comfortable sofa bed that also pulls out into a queen size bed. If you need a bit of privacy, a crushed velvet curtain can be pulled out to help screen the sofa bed from the king. For some further privacy, a velvet curtain can be drawn beside the king bed to help separate the loft from the living room space. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, patio and 5 acres. Other things to note All season: The Stargazer cabin is located in a rural area and is unfenced. It is good practice to leash your dogs when out for a walk and to be present with them when outside of the cabin. Wintertime: The cabin has a roof that sheds snow at unpredictable times. Because of that, we have a safe and specific path for guests to access the house. There will be signage and a snow fence that will keep you within safe boundaries.
