The space Finnish: mökki translates to "cabin," typically nestled in the woods or by a lake—and our forest cabin embodies just that. Mokki is thoughtfully designed to accommodate multiple families or small groups, providing a warm and inviting retreat surrounded by nature. You’ll find all the essentials for a relaxing getaway, including hotel-quality linens, bath and hand towels, coffee, tea, standard condiments, and spices. Robes and slippers await for your sauna experience! (Please note: beach towels are not provided.) The house fills with natural light, offering serene views of the forest and pond—an ideal backdrop for your stay. For those who love to cook, the gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including island seating for 4 and a dining table that seats 10—perfect for shared meals and special moments. On cozy days indoors, head to the lower level for fun and relaxation: Foosball Ring toss Board games Table curling (our family favorite) Wood-Burning Cedar Sauna: Fits 4–6 people, with wood provided. Please refer to the guest book for instructions. Seasonal Comfort: Summer: The main floor features an air conditioning unit, and every room has a ceiling fan. Winter: Electric heaters in all rooms and a wood stove in the basement keep the house cozy and warm. Wood is provided, with instructions in the guest book. (still under eco construction) Please use discretion when walking the trails as this is a live forest and at any given time there can be wildlife and trees that do come down. ** Please note that the booking guest must be 25+ years of age and must have 2+ positive reviews or host recommendations ** Other things to note We are a 5min drive from Sir Sam’s Ski and Ride. Ontario’s 2nd oldest family run ski operation with 14 runs for all abilities. - 5min drive from Eagle Lake with a public beach, boat launch, mini-playground, picnic tables - 5min from our amazing local market !
