Historic 4+ acre creekfront farmhouse in Hot Springs, NC. Walk to downtown and the Appalachian Trail. Sleeps up to 20 with multiple gathering spaces, wrap-around porches, large lawn, and a private hot tub. Perfect for family reunions, friend groups, couples, and smaller families who want a unique, mountain getaway. The space The Kitchen- Light and airy with plenty of dishware and cooking supplies, large Thor stove/oven, dishwasher, farmhouse sink, kitchen island, and small breakfast table. There is a large pantry with extra kitchen items and space to store your groceries. Mud-room- Second full refrigerator, full freezer, ice maker, and room to take off your shoes, hang your coats, and store extra supplies. The mudroom has a washer and dryer for guest use. (There is a second stacked w/d in the upstairs bathroom with blue tile) Dining room- Long, wooden table with seating for up to 10 people and gas fireplace. Great room for entertaining. Front Parlor- Gas fireplace and a great place to gather or read or take a nap. Living room- Full of cozy seating and large TV and woodstove, this room is perfect for watching a game or a movie. Downstairs Bedroom- Queen-sized bed. Next to the bathroom downstairs. Second Floor Bedrooms- 4 bedrooms- 3 of which have King beds and TV's; 1 bedroom with a bunk bed and trundle. Third Floor Bedroom/Kid-friendly haven - We are super excited about this space that includes (2) Full-sized beds, (2) Twin-sized beds, and a futon in an open style setting in the top floor of this historic home. The futon is in a space that can be enjoyed as a kid's living room with a TV, games, bean bags, and floor space. This allows guest to spread out between the two dens! Parents, think kid and teenager hangout! Front Porch- One of the wonderful outdoor features is this wraparound porch with multiple seating areas and porch swing. The porch looks out to the massive front yard with distant mountain views. Back Patio- Right out of the back door is a sunny, brick patio with a large, dining table and chairs, Solo firepit, and BIG HOT TUB. Another excellent space to gather and entertain. Creek Frontage- A set of steps leads from the back patio to a landing perched over the creek with Adirondack chairs. More steps lead down to the creek with seating, a small stage, and several hammocks. The rushing water is soothing. Kids can play and even take tubes out on the creek in the warmer weather. Spring Creek is also a renowned trout fishing stream. Some perks- Spring Creek Farmhouse is equipped with a whole house water filter system, so the water is great to drink allowing less cost and waste with bottled water. The house also has on-demand water heaters for consistently hot water for all guests. The house is also stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and trash bags, paper products, dish and laundry soap, and more! Guest access Guests have entire access to the property, including the large gardens and lawn, creek frontage, entire home, and open barn with ping pong table. Other things to note We would love you to be our guest. This is such a beautiful and welcoming property to retreat to and enjoy the mountains in every season. Up to 2 pets are allowed at Spring Creek Farmhouse with an additional pet fee. If you have included pets in your reservation information on Airbnb, it will automatically include the fee for 1 pet, which is $150. If you are bringing 2 pets, we will need to add this on after the reservation is made. The fee for 2 pets is $300. The home includes many of the basic things you will need while visiting, including all linens, towels, dish soap, laundry soap, trash bags, paper towels, and toilet paper. Firewood is available onsite as well as propane for the outside grill. If you forget any essentials at home or need to replenish anything during your stay, there is a Dollar General just down the road in Hot Springs and a few other small shops that are open daily and convenient to the property. Hot Springs is a great destination in all seasons! The weather can be mild compared to higher mountains and roads are tended in the wintertime. We love to hike on cool, sunny days when things are a bit quieter around here. Summer is a wonderful season to enjoy many things to do outside, including rafting and tubing and venturing up to Max Patch Bald. The pace is slow and easy around town, and Hot Springs is also a great central location for day trips to Asheville, Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, Waynesville, and many more adventurous locations. Spring sees beautiful mountain wildflowers and hikers traveling through on the Appalachian Trail. The weather can go from 80-degree days to a dusting of snow and anywhere in between. Fall never disappoints with endless potentials to see the trees changing at different elevations and finishing your day with a fire and soak in the private hot tub.
