Abbey Church 15, The Linse

The Highland Club is a collection of 4 and 5 star serviced self catered apartments set within 20 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds on the south shore of Loch Ness, cradled by the Caledonian Canal and the River Tarff. It occupies Grade A gothic buildings, the original 1729 English fortification, Fort Augustus, which became St Benedict’s Abbey. Located centrally in The Highlands, Fort Augustus Abbey promises comfort whilst exploring Urquhart Castle, Culloden, Clava Cairns, Skye or Ben Nevis. The space The Linse is a superb spacious apartment with stunning views across the Monastery lawn and directly northwards up Loch Ness. It is found on the second floor (No Lift) and sleeps up to 4 people and guests can also use a sofa bed in the lounge. This room contains two comfortable sofas and a small dining table overlooking Loch Ness. The master suite also has views towards Loch Ness and a large en-suite containing both a bath and a shower cubicle. The second bedroom has two single beds and a drawer unit and also benefits from views over the Loch. There is a family bathroom off the main hallway. The separate open plan modern kitchen and dining area lies within the original church, featuring original sandstone windows, and has elevated views over the Atrium where you can get great views of the gothic timber hammer head beam in the ceiling above.
