ABOUT LAKE OF EGYPT

Lake of Egypt is a 2400 acre man-made powerplant lake. It is deep, clean and the source of water for the Lake of Egypt communities. There are 3 marinas- 2 of which that offer pontoon boat rentals.

The Lake stays very active all year round with lake residents and trailered boats, but it is not overwhelming or wild. Many large fishing tournaments are hosted at the marinas, especially during the winter.

It's the perfect family lake for skiing, tubing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming. If you enjoy sightseeing, there is a perfect mix of beautiful lake homes and nature. It is not uncommon to see bald eagles perched in the treetops.

Not only are we located on beautiful Lake of Egypt but we are a short drive from the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, Ferne Clyffe State Park, Giant City State Park, Tunnel Hill Bike Trail and Shawnee National Forest.

PET POLICY

Pets are not allowed unless certified and vested service dogs in accordance with the ADA (Americans' with Disabilities Act). According to the ADA, "Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities," and "Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA."

DOCK

The dock is located between 2 other rentals. You must walk between these two properties to access the dock. All 3 rentals are owned by the same person and managed by Southern Illinois Vacation Rentals.

GARAGE CONVERSION:

This property is a 3-car garage conversion that sits on the opposite side of the driveway as the main house. There is a short, steep driveway as noted in the pictures.
