Over the years the villa has been described repeatedly as Magical , Charming, like a fairy tale. The location is at the entrance to Big Sur. World class restaurants are 2-10 minutes away. Pt. Lobos State Reserve is next door. Many places to sit have a glass of wine on the 1 acre grounds, go hiking see the water front, Aquarium, Cannery Row, Dine, Hike, great ocean walks, all-the-while at a 1 acre villa by the sea, rural but not isolated. The space The villa was built in 1953 and originally constructed as a Spanish style villa. In 2021 a Tesla roof was added and changed the Spanish style, standing in the front yard looking at the house, “villa” still applies. The interior contains many antiques and reflects a relaxed Carmel style. The villa is a perfect location for solitude by the sea, it is rural but still close to downtown, Carmel, Pebble Beach ,Monterey and exploring South, further into Big Sur. There is over 1 acre to wander with many gardens on the semi- level estate, a volleyball net is located on the back lawn, lots of photo opportunities. Sitting on the porch , sipping your favorite wine or drink , there are distant ocean views. Stand under the gazebo, in the front yard, and it is possible to see the rock caves and waves crash on Bird Rock. Temperatures are mostly in the 60’s year round, when it gets into the 70’s it is a heat wave for us ! Don’t forget to bring a light jacket and long pants. Occasionally you will hear sea lions bark, smell the ocean air, wander the gardens with the Pacific Ocean in your front yard.There are four bedrooms and three full baths, accommodates up to 8.Two king beds and two queen beds. Lots of parking behind the large iron gates. The Villa is fully fenced. The villa is two minutes from the Hyatt Highlands and 5 star Pacific Edge restaurant. Clint Eastwood’s restaurant is just 5 minutes away. Three doors South on California 1 you can look down on a historic rock house that Brad Pitt just bought. For convenience the Carmel Highlands General Store is within walking distance.The Villa is located near Highway 1, which runs through Carmel Highlands. While the property is set back from the road, some traffic noise may be heard- common in the area. Fireplaces are fitted with inserts and located in three of the bedrooms and the living room. The rest of California and the country can be at temperatures of over 100 degrees but the villa with its Pacific Ocean air conditioner, is rarely over 70 degrees making a nice relaxed vacation that pictures do not do justice .
