Historic James Mulvey Carriage house (Whole house)
The Estate of James Mulvey has graced historic Stillwater for 133 years. Located on an acre campus overlooking a ravine on Stillwater’s south hill area, walking distance from downtown, the Italianate stone Carriage House has welcomed guests to a historic inn experience for over 20+ years. The space Built originally to house the Mulvey’s collection of carriages and fine horses; later made into a home and gifted to his daughter for her wedding. Today the Carriage House has been beautifully renovated to resemble an English cottage in the Cotswolds, complete with a traditional gourmet kitchen, rustic beams, and French doors that cascade out to a balcony overlooking the ravine and the private pool. The rooms are each thematically inspired by everything from the French wine country, to the roaring 20s, and even an ode to the original horse stables in the lower level farmhouse. The upstairs rooms (Art Deco and Bourdeaux suites) each have their own private bathroom, jet tub, fireplace, and a balcony overlooking the landscape. The lower-level Farmhouse suite is its own separate quarters that house two queen beds; complete with a living area that walks out to the backyard pool, a kitchenette, a private bedroom, and a spacious private bathroom with a luxury shower. Experience a European getaway, just blocks away from the historic downtown Stillwater.
