This lovely authentic 2-pen log cabin on 10 acres is ready for rentals! Hand-hewn log cabin relocated to property in early 70’s. Complete renovation January 2020. All new bathroom and kitchen. Cabin is within riding distance of Stumphouse Mountain Bike Park in Mountain Rest, SC, Oconee County’s newest attraction for riders of all levels. Palmetto Trail and Foothills Trail are right here! The space The entire cabin has two log “pens” attached for a total of 800 square feet. The sleeping loft has two single beds. (Steep ladder to loft.) One queen bed is in living area below loft. There is a gas fireplace and sitting area in the queen bed side. (NOTE: The fireplace is currently not working.) A laundry room with washer and dryer is attached to the sleeping area. The kitchen, bath and dining area are separated from the sleeping side by an entry area that has a game table and books and games. There is a queen sofa bed in the kitchen side of cabin. Outdoor firepit and picnic table and bike-washing area. Private location in the forest. Did we mention 10 secluded acres of wooded land with a small creek at back of property? Quaint mountain towns are nearby to explore. Visit Walhalla, Clayton GA and Highlands and Cashiers NC, just a short drive away. Guest access All areas of the cabin, and outdoor space are accessible for use. Other things to note This is a rustic, authentic, log cabin that has been updated, with all new appliances, new furnishings and an entire new roof structure. Pet friendly and No cleaning fees added! Queen bed on main level. Loft above with two single beds. Ladder to loft is steep, and not appropriate for people with mobility issues. Sleeper sofa with new queen foam mattress. Linens for sleeper in chest in loft. All new linens and pillows all around. Please be aware that we are in the National Forest. Bears are uncommon but are around. Do not leave food in cars that are unlocked. Do not leave garbage outside. There is a place to place bags of trash in the pump house. We have a well for our drinking water. No need to bring plastic water bottles as the water has been tested for purity and bacteria. It’s delicious and cold!
