Lovely Times Cottage - A Chester lakeside retreat

Our 4-season cottage is located just 45 minutes from downtown Halifax, 55 minutes from Halifax International Airport, 7 minutes from Chester and the Sensea Nordic Spa (open year round) and 35 minutes from Ski Martock (open Dec through end of March). With breathtaking lake views, this quiet paradise in the forest is a perfect getaway anytime of year. The space This cute, three bedroom, one bath, four-season cottage is located on a long private road. Set amongst forest and beautiful perennial gardens with a gentle sloping lawn to panoramic lake views visible from all rooms. Guest access You will have access to the entire house but the workshop is off limits. Other things to note We've recently added an outdoor claw-foot soaker tub. On-demand hot water heater means you can refill as much as you need while looking down the lake. Seasonal May-November. It's private unless you get someone pass by on the lake... We've also just added a propane fireplace in the living room. This can heat the whole house should there be a power outage. ***this road and driveway can be icy and snowy so we recommend snow tires and 4WD during the winter months*** ***Please purchase travel insurance if coming from far away. Refunds will not be made outside the allotted timeframe for flight cancellations/delays or issues with rental cars etc*** This area experiences power outages in bad weather. We do have a small generator that powers the kitchen but not the toilet and shower. We have recently beed able to get Bell Fiber-op high-speed internet in the area. Unlimited high-speed wifi for work and devices. We have a smart-tv with most streaming apps pre-loaded, but there is no cable tv. We provide basic supplies for reasonable use (soap, firewood, coffee etc). After that you will have to purchase you own. No third party bookings (the person making the booking must be staying at the property) No fishing without licences No hunting No parties or events No smoking of any kind indoors No illegal drug use No candles, incense, or scented oil burning inside. No glitter, play doh/slime/putty of any kind. **There is a non-refundable $50 pet fee that must be paid before arrival. This covers the extra cleaning costs to remove all hair, preventing allergies. If there is any damage due to pets, that will be charged separately. We only allow well trained dogs (other types of pets are not allowed due to allergy) No dogs allowed on furniture or in beds unless covered by your own blankets/towels.** **Early check-in or late check-out requests are available for and extra $50 charge.
