North Lodge has undergone renovation including a new heating system, luxury kitchen, dining area and wetroom with stunning views to the River Eachaig, and further to the Holy Loch. Now open plan, there is a lovely space for socialising. The wonderful views from the suntrap covered terrace are the highlight of this property. From here you can watch Herons, geese, ducks, otters, kingfishers, ospreys and even seals at high tide! Red squirrels feed from the nut feeders. The space North Lodge overlooks the meeting of the waters between the River Echaig and the Little Echaig looking to the Cowal Hills beyond. Situated in the Argyll Forest Park and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the Lodge is in one of the loveliest locations in the area. The Lodge is equipped with a welcoming wood burning stove that provides a warm highland welcome after a hard day walking through some of Scotland’s loveliest scenery. There is room for up to 7 people to comfortably sleep in North Lodge with the addition of a folding bed. There are three bedrooms, two twin rooms (one with adult bunkbeds) and a large double. There is a large luxury wetroom with underfloor heating as well as a second WC and wash hand basin. The Cot House Hotel and restaurant is a ten minute walk away on the newly constructed pavement whilst Dunoon with its restaurants and shops is only 5 miles drive or bus journey away. Further afield is the lovely Whistlefield Inn. Public transport is available from early until late on the hour into Dunoon. Guest access Guests have complete access to all of the Lodge. Other things to note Access for disabled persons is restricted as there are a number of steps to be negotiated to gain access. There is a lovely covered terrace with comfortable wooden benches for sitting out on warm evenings or sunny days.
