All 3 bedrooms are on the lower level; one with a King, one with a Queen and one with 2 Twin beds. Between the King and Queen bedrooms there’s a gorgeous, spa-like bathroom with dual vanities, heated floor and a heated towel rack. Across the hall, next to the Twin bedroom, is another full bathroom. Each bathroom has a shower but no bathtub. Also on this level, a spacious steam sauna and a large hot tub are at the ready to refresh and relax you after a day on the slopes or the lake. Upstairs, the living room features a leather sofa and easy chairs with lots of cozy throw blankets, giant flat screen TV, and convenient gas fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen offers new GE stainless steel appliances, wine fridge, center butcher block island and plenty of shelf space for all your goodies. The adjacent dining area has a large table with seating for 6 and a buffet nearby for serving. A reading nook, half bathroom and deck with gas grill (available in summer) complete the upstairs layout. Thunder Lodge sits on a level lot with plenty of parking in the heated one-car garage or on the paved driveway. Located in a quiet neighborhood just 3.5 miles south of Tahoe City and a mile south of Sunnyside, the property feels remote but provides easy access to all kinds of activities. You’re minutes away from skiing at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows or Homewood Mountain Resort; walking distance to the dazzling blue Tahoe water at Hurricane Bay; literally steps from amazing hiking and biking trailheads at Ward Creek State Park; and a short drive to Sugar Pine Point, DL Bliss and Emerald Bay State Parks. Once you’ve experienced Thunder Lodge, you’ll be “thunderstruck” and won’t want to stay anywhere else!
