The apartment is just 5 minutes by tram from the city centre, yet located in a quiet residential area. Enjoy the modern style, large sofa, smart TV, balconies, and fully equipped kitchen. It offers a main bedroom with a king bed and a separate office that can convert into a second bedroom with a sofa bed. Travelling with family? A travel crib and high chair are available on request. Perfect for business, leisure, and families. Free transportation tickets for the city of Bern are included! The space The apartment is on half-ground level, meaning a small staircase (shown in the picture of the building entrance hall). Fast internet is available. Kitchen: dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, induction stove, oven, blender, toaster, kettle, glasses, dishes, cutlery. The kitchen has access to a small balcony facing the street. Main bedroom: cable TV, wardrobe, 180x200cm bed, sockets by bedside table (incl. USB). Office/ Guest bedroom: printer, sofa-bed, working desk and comfortable office chair. This room has access to the backyard. An extra single mattress can be placed on the floor next to the sofa-bed upon request (for a fith guest). When the sofa-bed is opened, it is 140x190cm wide. We recently changed the sofa-bed for a more comfortable option. Living-room: smart tv with cable tv, wide sofa-bed, dining table for 6 persons. The living room has access to a small balcony facing the street. Corridor: cleaning cabinet, wardrobe, safe box, tall mirror. Bathroom: 1 full bathroom with bathtub and hair drier (behind the mirror). Summer months: ventilators in every room, 1x portable air conditioner. Winter months: convector heaters in every room. Upon request: travel crib and high chair. Guest access LAUNDRY A shared laundry room with a washing machine and dryer is available in the basement at no extra cost. Laundry detergent will be provided in the apartment. You’ll also find a basic iron and a mini ironing board in the apartment. A semi-professional iron and a full-size ironing board are available in the laundry area. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION You’ll receive public transportation tickets for use within the city of Bern (“Bern Tickets”). This is the easiest and most convenient way to get around. Tram 9 runs directly from the main train station to the building. Information about it is sent in the check-in instructions. PARKING Unfortunately, we do not have a dedicated parking space. Option 1: Blue zone street parking is available (free for 1 hour during the day, free overnight, and all day on Sundays). A 24-hour ticket costs CHF 16 and can be purchased at the tram stop ticket machine. Option 2: If you won’t need your car frequently during your stay, I may be able to offer a private parking space located two tram stops away. Please inquire about availability before booking. UPON REQUEST Available upon request (free of charge): - travel crib - high chair - ventilators Other things to note CHILDREN If you are travelling with children, please let me know their ages! You will find plates and forks for kids in the kitchen! A travel crib and a high chair can also be placed in the apartment at no extra charge - just request it in advance! CAMERAS Surveillance: the guests should note that there might be a security camera outside the apartment. There are no cameras or similar devices inside the apartment. HOUSE RULES - Smoking inside is a no-go: but feel free to do so in the balcony, - Relish your music in low volume (and perhaps avoid it altogether after 10pm), - The unit is not suitable for escorting services or prostitution (its not legal to offer your services in a location without a permit). IDENTIFICATION You will be asked to provide some identification before check-in. The reason for this is that Airbnb does not share your ID with hosts, and we are required to keep a record of our guests for the local government. CHECK-IN Self check-in is available. If you prefer, I’ll be happy to welcome you in person upon arrival.
