An open plan living/dining room lends itself well to socialable evenings after a day of exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The wood burner is also an added bonus for those cooler winter evenings. The cottage is only 500 yards from the beach, where dogs are welcome all year round, and the beach is a blend of sand dunes and wide open space. Further south, during the summer the promenade is very popular, with the Claremont Pier a big hit with little ones (and big kids!). Lowestoft is the most easterly point in the UK and is known as the ’sunrise coast’. You are ideally located to explore the surrounding area, including Southwold, Aldeburgh, RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich and Walberswick for a spot of crabbing. For those looking for fun on the water, Oulton Broad is nearby, the southern gateway to the Norfolk Broads National Park, where fishing, day boats and riverside pubs and restaurants are the usual haunts of guests to the area.
