These luxury cottages are situated down a quiet lane on the edge of the beautiful Somerset Levels where it combines peace and tranquility with the convenience of being just 3 mins walk to The Rose & Crown Inn. The space Tastefully restored cottages both sleep 4 people. 2 Withy has a double and a twin room (adult size bunk bed), hotel quality bed linen with soft downy duvets and pillows. Its cosy sitting room has a wood burner together with 2 comfy sofas a dining table that seats four and Freesat Internet TV, DVD blue ray player and Radio. Gas central heating a fully equipped kitchen. Outside there is a private sunny patio area with seating for 4 with a BBQ and shared garden. Please bring your own bedding for the cot, thank you. The cottages can be booked as a pair for larger family groups. Ideal for weekly, mid-week or weekend stays for families, couples on a romantic holiday or special interests such as walking, bird watching, fishing and visiting the many national trust houses and historic monuments nearby. Dating from the early 1800's these blue lias stone cottages would have originally been thatched. It is believed that Withies were washed in the stream that runs in front of the cottages which were then stripped and dried in the back gardens before being made into withy products. The cottages have been tastefully renovated with many original features restored, we have decorated and furnished the cottage as if we were to be living there ourselves and we believe that we have made a truly comfortable home from home using only the very best to ensure that your stay with us is a wonderful experience.
