Please note that most of the beach is also open to dogs. It is located in the 'fair weather corner' of Ostholstein near the island of Fehmarn. Should the weather not play along, the surrounding area offers many worthwhile excursion destinations: the Schleswig-Holstein Lake District, the Hansapark in Sierksdorf and the island of Fehmarn with a shark and marine centre, a donkey park and the 'Noah's Ark'.
