The space My cottage is in a peaceful location with spectacular views of the green rolling countryside and the wild Atlantic coastline as well as the famous Cliffs of Moher. My cottage is great for all travelers with safe beaches, golfing, cycling, hiking, surfing, the Burren UNESCO Heritage Site, trad music and of course a pint of Guinness, all on the doorstep. The nearest beach, the White Strand is less than 1km away, it is very safe and suitable for swimming with a spectacular clliff walk, and where you can hire kayaks, do some sea diving or pick some periwinkles to cook and enjoy later in the evening. Another beach, Spanish Point is 2km away and is suitable for long walks, swimming and surfing. Every morning at both beaches all year round there is a group swim where everyone is welcome to join in, from 10 people to 100, 365 days of the year...if you are brave or mad enough!!! Why not enjoy a small aircraft spin to the Cliffs of Moher taking in the spectacular West Clare coastline, these can be organised at the local flying centre just 1km away. Ours is a cosy cottage with open plan kitchen cum sitting room but still with plenty of space to sit back, unwind and take in the breath-taking views of the Ocean and Cliffs of Moher. There are two cosy bedrooms upstairs, one with double bed and the second with twin beds. A crib can be made available on request along with stair gates to ensure a safe place for children. Wifi is available free of charge. The cottage has radio/CD player with a selection of CD's as well as cable TV, hairdryer and iron. During the warm months there is a table with seating for adults to enjoy a sip or three of wine after a long day's sightseeing! We have a lovely horse called 'Heaney' in the nearby fields as well as some cattle that may peer curiously over the fence at you while our hens provide the fresh eggs. We also have Ana and Elsa our two family friendly dogs. Many guests find our animals help them to relax in this rural retreat. Wetsuits and beach towels are available for swimming or surfing in the utility room. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, full cooker with grill and oven, Microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. Plenty of shops and supermarkets are close by to allow for a home cooked meal to be whipped up.
