The cabin is located on Tjeldøya and is idyllically situated overlooking the fjord. In summer it is a nature pleasure and pure relaxation to live here in this unspoiled nature. In midsummer you may be lucky to have sun around the clock, in winter possibly some weeks of darkness and on clear days you may be lucky to see the northern lights shining in the sky. In summer there are several swimming opportunities in the fjord, just 300 meters from the cabin. Keep in mind that you are in northern Norway and even though the swimming beach is reminiscent of warmer regions, the swimming temperature can be a bit chilly. An alternative is "Grottebadet" in Harstad with warm pools and water slides. Fishing opportunities are everywhere in the area. Especially the Kjærfjord is recommended (about 2 kilometers). If you want to fish inland, you will find a variety of lakes and rivers in the area. The cottage is located between Narvik and Harstad, both cities are easily accessible by car. Here you will find everything a town has to offer in terms of commerce, gastronomy and culture. Worth mentioning here are the annual festivals in Harstad. In winter Narvik is known for its spectacular ski area, which starts in the mountains and ends in the city. The border with Sweden is also a popular destination with beautiful ski resorts.
