Ideally located in the village of Dolwyddelan, in the Snowdonia National Park, there are walks from the door, including the quiet and hidden valley of Cwm Penamnen, which is great for walking (including dogs). The small castle at Dolwyddelan (Cadw) is well worth a visit, and you are only 5 miles from the exciting Bounce Below and Zip World complex at Blaenau Ffestiniog. In the other direction is picturesque Betws-y-Coed with the Zip World Fforest Coaster, the market town of Llanrwst and the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno – in fact, you can hop on the train from the station in Dolwyddelan to explore these if you want to leave the car behind!
