Pieve Suites-Mid: chic studio with rural views

Accessed from a narrow flower-filled street in the charming centro storico of Città della Pieve, the first-floor Mid suite is a luxuriously renovated self-catering studio apartment in shades of teal and peacock green, overlooking the verdant Umbrian countryside. Restaurants, cafés and sights are within strolling distance. The Mid suite is one of three stylish options offered by Pieve Suites: perfect for couples singly, but ideal for groups if taken together with the Garden and/or Top suites. The space Shades of teal and peacock green set the tone in this intimate, luminous first-floor suite, with its views of verdant Umbrian countryside. Though the restaurants, cafés, shops and sights of Città della Pieve's busy, charming centro storico are a short stroll away, the Mid suite is remarkably silent – perfect for a good night's sleep. Heirloom bedside cabinets, elegant Rubelli fabrics and contemporary furnishings play off against exposed beams. A large French window brings the outside in: we’ve placed a garden table and chairs so you can admire the view or perhaps indulge in an indoor picnic prepared in the unit's well equipped kitchenette. A cosy sofa in the air-conditioned/centrally heated interior invites guests to curl up with a good book, or linger over coffee or tea from the in-suite facilities. The comfortable bed is made up with crisp cotton sheets in summer and a warm duvet in winter. The Mid Suite has our largest bathroom, featuring a generously sized rain-head shower stall. Umbrian organic toiletries are supplied. With Città della Pieve's gorgeous medieval centro storico right on your doorstep, it's difficult to tear yourself away. But the Pieve is also an excellent base for exploring the entrancing Umbria-Tuscany borderlands surrounding it. The latest addition to Pieve Suites is a dedicated cycling garage, where guests on two wheels can safely lock up their bikes and make adjustments and do repairs with an extensive set of tools. What's more, cycling guests can take advantage of a wide range of routes, for all tastes and levels, designed and mapped by the owner's road-cycling husband. Access is from a narrow flower-filled street, along a shared corridor. A central staircase (one flight) leads to this suite. Other things to note The Mid suite is on the first (US second) floor.
