See you soon on Pixxl ! The space Formerly the sailor's cabin, Pixxl has been totally renovated to welcome travelers looking for a different way to experience Metz. Nothing resembles a classic apartment, but all the expected comforts are present. A private walkway takes you to the original cabin. Very bright, you can enjoy a meal here. A few steps down, you'll find the fully-equipped kitchenette and, next door, the bathroom with bathtub/shower. The shower ceiling height has recently been revised for greater comfort: approx. 1.85m to 1.90m. A few steps further down, the bedroom/living room features a 140cm bed, sofa, armchair, cupboard, TV and WiFi. Just above, a pretty wooden terrace to enjoy the view over the canal. Guest access The free parking is next to the barge. The access is therefore very easy. The accommodation is totally independent and separated from the rest of the barge. You will be quiet and isolated. Gilles, your host, lives at the other end of the barge. In the middle, offices (my web development company) which is not occupied in the evening. NOTE: the FC METZ football stadium is nearby. Sometimes you can hear the fans cheering their gods, usually on Friday. Other things to note Due to the structure of the barge, the ceilings are quite low. You might feel some discomfort in some parts of the accommodation if you are taller than 1.85m (a 1.92m tall traveler told me that he was not bothered and that it was quite funny). The steps on both levels are rather narrow and not suitable for a person with limited mobility. Recent work has raised the shower by 15cm, and with the roof slightly curved, the ceiling height for the shower is now between 1.85m and 1.90m. Where some will find the place charming and atypical, others might prefer a more standard apartment with classical standards. In this case, you will find a very large number of them in the city center. Please take these points into consideration.
