Ellen’s Cottage can be found up a quiet lane with no through traffic. The picturesque exterior with centuries of character is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The gardens are south-west facing over the landscape and have outdoor furniture where guests can soak up the sun in the summer before heading inside the rustic, cosy cottage. On entering the cottage, the oak beams against the white walls oozes charm throughout, a grandfather clock setting the tone of this historic building. A log fire will warm those cold evenings, and a comfortable sofa to relax in sits off the stairs to the bedroom adjacent to the kitchen at the rear, well-stocked with all the amenities and utensils required to cook up a feast. Up the stairs can be found the luxurious four poster double bed, enjoying countryside views to the south. The bathroom is equipped with a bath and shower, with complimentary amenities for your stay. The local pub is only 1 mile down the lane to Hawkshaw Village, where you will find further amenities at the village store. Ellen’s Cottage has parking for two cars. Please be aware the entrance to the property is down a single track lane. Two well-behaved pets are welcome and should never be left alone in the property.
