The space The spacious 1-bedroom apartment is located on the 3rd floor of the converted barracks in the König-Georg-Wohnpark Wurzen. On approx. 40 m², it offers a spacious, bright room; an internal bathroom with shower; a separate kitchen and a hallway. Combining the tranquility of a small town and the advantages of a big city, making it an attractive destination. The city center of Leipzig can be reached in less than 30 minutes by car. But Leipzig is also just a stone's throw away by train. In the heart of Saxony lies the large county town of Wurzen, as one of the oldest places in the state. A highlight of the city is the Cathedral of St. Marien, which is used for worship services, weddings and concerts. The town, also referred to as the Ringelnatzstadt, has an elaborately restored city center with picturesque alleys, buildings and squares. Downtown is home to many attractive and individual shops with an eclectic assortment. The imposing mill towers characterize the entire cityscape and are considered the city's secret landmark. The Ecumenical St. James pilgrimage trail and the Via Regia, one of the oldest and longest land connections between eastern and Western Europe, cross through Wurzen. Cycle and walking paths pass through the village and in particular the bike paths are continuously expanded. Between enchanted floodplains, the trough flows. Adjacent forests as well as many allotment systems enclose sausages like a green belt.
