Poet's Cottage is a stylish 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom holiday home in the heart of the upper Blue Mountains. A charming retreat for couples, friends and families. Built in 1912 and one of the very first cottages in the area, Poet's Cottage is located on the edge of the beautiful Valley of the Waters in historic Wentworth Falls - a 5-minute drive from beautiful Leura Village. The space This stylishly restored and extended 112-year-old property offers the best of both worlds - tranquility and quiet away from tourist crowds yet the attractions of Leura and Katoomba are just a quick drive away. Self-contained, with plenty of pampering comforts, the cottage offers an open-plan lounge and dining area with a freestanding gas log fireplace and a chef's style kitchen. Snuggle up in the three bedrooms with two queen beds, one king single bed and two single beds. Watch honey-eaters sip flower nectar while relaxing on your entertainment deck, or wander through the large garden before enjoying the beauty of the world heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park, which backs directly onto the property. Then return to the cottage for a pampering spa. Poet's Cottage is ideal for couples, families, trekkers, nature and bird enthusiasts. For a romantic, adventurous or family getaway of simple elegance and comfort, spoil yourself and enjoy all the Blue Mountains has to offer. We are new to Airbnb but have been operating as a holiday rental since 2013 and have been multi-awarding winning across several booking platforms. Extras: - We regret that weddings cannot be accommodated - Guests are refrained from smoking indoors or in the garden due to its proximity to bushland and the World Heritage National Park. - In Autumn and Winter (May to November) warm outdoor clothing is advisable as temperatures can be up to 10 degrees cooler than Sydney. Guest access The cottage is flat with no steps except for two tiny steps into the bathrooms - these tiny steps can be an issue for some wheelchairs such as electric wheelchairs but not for others. There are also two small rises from the shower frames leading into the two showers. There are two steps from the front path up to the verandah and a small step from the verandah into the house - if using a wheelchair you will need to bring a small wheelchair ramp to ascend these steps. Other things to note *If you would like to bring your dog, please let me know. Limit of 2 dogs per stay. There is a $60 pet fee for the stay. Sorry, only dogs, no cats. *Bookings made starting Thursday will be a minimum of 3 nights.
