This beautiful home is an elegant Mediterranean style villa with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, two living room areas, one kitchen and dining room area, a balcony with terrace, and a pool with BBQ area. All together Villa Toucan is 2200 square feet of living space. The house is designed on two levels which connect on the inside through a spiral staircase. The upper level boasts a spacious kitchen, living and dining area with windows and sliding glass doors opening to the rain forest below. There is one air conditioned bedroom with a king bed and large en suite bathroom on this level. A wrap around sofa provides comfort for those who wish to lounge the day away. The terrace, which overlooks the garden and pool area, is perfect for sipping Costa Rican coffee or cocktails. The lower level can be opened up to the pool area & garden through sliding glass doors, and includes a small living and dining area, laundry room and two bedrooms with AC (one with a king size and a single bed and one with a double bed), views of the garden, two bathrooms, and direct access to the pool. Fine woodwork enhances the beauty and design of this house. The pool is surrounded by tropical gardens, which add to this warm and cozy environment and where you can BBQ your catch of the day or your favorite meal. The Toucan Villa is part of the private gated community called Manuel Antonio Estates. Restaurants, grocery stores, fruit markets, souvenir shops and nightlife are all within a 0.5-3 mile range and easily accesible on foot, bus, taxi (24/7) or rental car. The walk into downtown Quepos is 10-15 minutes, the bus stop to the beach is at a 5 min walk, and to get to the beach it's 10 minutes by car or 15 minutes by taxi. A regular bus service goes from Quepos to Manuel Antonio National Park for a minimum cost (50 cents USD). The bus stop is located right outside the gates of Manuel Antonio Estates. Taxis are also available 24/7. Tour companies will pick you up here at our office. We are surrounded by the rainforest, which guarantees daily wildlife visits including monkeys, iguanas, tropical birds like toucans and macaws, but also bugs are common. All windows are screened, but every now and then a few manage to make their way in, so if bugs ir geckos are not for you, or any of your group members, Costa Rica may not be the right destination for you. Do not leave fruit or eggs out, as the monkeys can get in and they can make big disasters! Always clean up after using the kitchen, even just a few bread crumbs will attract ants to come in the house.
