Description
A delightful place for two to relax in style Two-person bath in the bedroom A secluded patio to relax in nature Exclusive use of spa facilities and swimming pool The space Rural, peaceful Lake District location One of just five boutique style properties on a luxury cottage complex Spa and swimming pool access, plus a personal chef are available The cottage is a one-bedroom hideaway that’s a great choice for a romantic escape in the Lake District. It has a spacious feel and is brimming with country charm and contemporary, shabby-chic style. As part of a beautiful, five-star cottage complex (there are just four other boutique-style properties here) with three acres of tranquil gardens, it offers an idyllic setting for walks hand-in-hand, enjoying nature and cosying up together indoors. With an on-site spa and swimming pool available for your exclusive use, massage treatments on request and the option to book the service of a private chef who will cook up a fine-dining feast in the privacy of your cottage, it is a true romantic retreat. The cottage is elegantly decorated with soothing and dreamy pastel tones, that set off the wooden flooring and wooden ceiling beams beautifully. The layout is set out over a single, ground-floor level and the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area is perfect for cosy days and nights in cooking together or watching a film. There’s a plump sofa and an armchair, a Smart TV with Freeview and Netflix built-in, and a log-burner to make those winter evenings even more special. The cottage also features music control pads and Bluetooth technology so that you can play songs from your own collection, or stream music. The bespoke kitchen has enough worktop space and all the mod cons to prepare delicious meals, including a double oven, induction hob and fridge/freezer, plus pots and pans. You can eat at the breakfast bar, the dining table that seats two in comfort and is next to the window for lovely views over the fields, or step outside onto the covered patio to dine alfresco – you can even stoke up the BBQ if you want. The bedroom is like staying in a boutique hotel with a super-king-size bed, a dressing table and a bath made for two where you can sip Champagne or watch TV whilst having a relaxing soak. There’s also an en-suite shower room. Whilst the cottage is very romantic, there is also space in the bedroom for a travel cot which also makes it a good choice if you have a baby to bring along. For nature lovers, there’s a ‘nature spotter diary’ for noting sightings of wildlife, drawing pictures, or adding photos or pressings. You’ll also find bird and nature guides to help you identify species. On a clear night, we recommend requesting some stargazing equipment to be dropped off at the cottage, wrapping up warm and seeing what magical things you can spot in the night sky. Guest access If you arrive before 7pm you will be met by a member of staff who will show you to your cottage and how everything works. For later arrivals, there is self-check-in, but a member of staff will welcome you the following morning. Parking is available on-site, near to the cottage. Other things to note Check-in: from 15:00 Check-out: by 10:00 Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 70 days before the date of travel.
