Our family-run vineyard, nestled in the Minervois countryside, welcomes you just a stone's throw from the Canal du Midi and at the gateway to the Cité de Carcassonne. You'll be in the heart of the vineyards, in a preserved natural and bucolic setting: a true haven of peace and the ideal place to relax and recharge your batteries. The space Our Grenache gîte, in a fully renovated former winegrower's dwelling, sleeps up to 4 people. and includes: First floor: A private 20m2 terrace, with parasol, deckchairs, garden furniture and barbecue. Living area with fireplace, TV and sofa. Dining area with table and 4 chairs; Open-plan kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster. Separate WC. First floor: One bedroom with double bed 140x190. One bedroom with 2 twin beds 90x190 (or double bed 180x200). A bathroom with toilet, washbasin and walk-in shower. Of course, you'll find all the kitchen utensils, tableware, household utensils and clothesline you need for a pleasant stay. Washing machines, tumble dryers, ironing boards and irons are available in the laundry room reserved for gîtes. For your comfort on arrival, household linen can be provided (disinfected and ironed) for an extra charge; beds will be made up and you will have 2 towels per person (one large and one small). Cots and high chairs are also available at extra cost. Guest access To reach us from the A61 freeway: Toulouse - Narbonne direction: take exit 24 (Carcassonne Est) and follow D6113 towards Trèbes. Enter Trèbes (D610). After the bridge over the Canal du Midi, turn left and at the small traffic circle take the D135 (direction Laure-Minervois) for about 5 kms. The entrance to Château Borie Neuve is on the right-hand side of the road. Direction Narbonne - Toulouse: take exit 25 (Lézignan-Corbières) and follow the D611 and D111, then join the D6113 towards Marseillette. Follow signs for Badens. In Badens, take the D157, then right onto the D235 (towards Laure-Minervois) for 1 km, then turn left. Other things to note You can park your car safely and free of charge in the estate's fully enclosed parking lot. Wifi Internet access. The gîte is bordered by a landscaped park with tall trees and a pétanque court. On the edge of the park, in summer, you'll find a 10x5 outdoor swimming pool to share, with a large terrace equipped with deckchairs and parasols. You can enjoy invigorating walks or bike rides in the heart of the estate, between vineyards and garrigue. We have a number of bicycles available on loan. Or let yourself be tempted by a tour of our estate, including a wine tasting or a visit to the cellars, among many other possibilities. We'll be happy to advise you on any visits you may wish to make in our magnificent region, in addition to all the documentation at your disposal in our cellar/boutique. Chateau Borie Neuve, just a stone's throw from Carcassonne and in the heart of the Minervois region and its many tourist attractions, is close to : - Canal Du Midi, a unesco World Heritage site, for superb walks, bike rides and boat trips; - Cite Medievale de Carcassonne, a unesco World Heritage site, with its famous July 14 fireworks display and summer-long festival; - Gouffre Géant de Cabrespine and Grotte du Limousis - Cathar castles and abbeys (Caunes-Minervois, Lastours, Saissac, Lagrasse, Fontfroide...) - The region abounds in fine restaurants run by Michelin-starred chefs such as Gille Goujon, Franck Putelat and Jean-Marc Boyer.
