This private, circa-1900 Victorian cottage sits directly across from Earlham College and just off Historic National Road/US-40. It offers the convenience of a central Richmond location with a quiet, residential feel. Walk to a grocery store, medical care, a hardware store, restaurants, and churches; the Whitewater Gorge and Cardinal Greenway Trail are also nearby. The space The cottage is compact, peaceful, and full of old-home character. It includes two bedrooms, a living/dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a complimentary washer and dryer. The large primary bedroom has a split-king bed; the smaller second bedroom has twin bunk beds. Colorful perennial flowers and medicinal herbs fill the front garden, creating a natural, cottage-garden setting rather than a manicured lawn. Cats are welcome. Come settle in, explore Richmond on foot, and enjoy a simple, comfortable home base near Earlham. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire cottage, including two bedrooms, the kitchen, living/dining room, bathroom, and laundry facilities. The primary bedroom has a split-king bed, and the smaller second bedroom has twin bunk beds. The cottage has fast internet—typically over 300 Mbps—and two TVs: a Roku TV in the primary bedroom and a voice-controlled smart TV in the living/dining room. A separate apartment is located at the back of the property and has its own entrance. I live there separately; the cottage itself is entirely private for your reservation. The driveway is shared and reserved for the apartment/garage and garden access. Guests may briefly use it for loading or unloading, but all guest parking is on the street directly in front of the cottage. Other things to note Please note: This is a small, historic cottage built around 1900. It has Victorian-era character and the quirks that come with an older home, rather than the scale or finishes of a newly built property. The kitchen is compact but well-equipped for meal preparation. The dishwasher is not available for guest use. The driveway is shared and reserved for the rear apartment, detached garage/workshop, and garden access. Please park on the street in front of the cottage, except for brief loading and unloading.
