PERFECT LOCATION - Briscoe Lodge (Ullswater)

FANTASTIC VICTORIAN GUESTHOUSE IN THE HEART OF THE ENGLISH LAKE DISTRICT The space Briscoe Lodge in Windermere is a friendly, family run Victorian guest house situated in the heart of the beautiful English Lake District. It can easily be reached by car and is just a short walk from the train and bus stations. It is therefore perfect for exploring the whole of the Lake District whose beauty has been internationally recognised by the award of UNESCO World Heritage Status. Bowness and Lake Windermere are within easy walking distance and offer a wide range of excellent tourist attractions, restaurants, shops and lively bars for you to enjoy. This room is one of two cosy, modern double en-suite rooms available and provides TV, DVD player (with access to a DVD library), hair dryer and a well stocked refreshment tray. Please note that we no longer offer a full cooked breakfast option, however INCLUDED in the room price are complimentary cereals, toast, yoghurts and drinks that guests can help themselves to between 8-10am. There are also many cafes and restaurants in Windermere and Bowness offering breakfast. Safe on street parking can usually be found either outside or a very short walk from Briscoe Lodge. Guest access In addition to their room, guests have access to the lounge. This contains a large number of leaflets, maps and guidebooks. It also contains a DVD library. During your stay Graham the owner lives on site so is readily available to welcome guests and help them to plan and get the absolute most from their time spent in the Lake District. He is a local Mountain Rescue volunteer so knows the area particularly well. Other things to note 1. CHECK IN time is from 2pm onwards although EARLIER ARRIVALS ARE WELCOME to drop their bags and take a spare key. If Graham is not at home at the time of your arrival then contact details will be left so that you can gain access to your room. 2. CHECK OUT time is 10.30am on the morning of your departure. Guests are welcome to leave their bags for a later collection if required. 3. PARKING. Briscoe Lodge does not have a private car park, but on street parking is generally available to the front of the house or just a very short walk away. 4. Stays over weekends (Friday and Saturday night) are a minimum of two nights. 5. Rooms are accessed via one flight of stairs.
