This is a small and friendly settlement facing West which offers great sunsets. We drink clean rainwater in the village, but it might not be a bad idea to use bottled water if you have a sensitive tummy. Bottled water is usually available at the village store or you can even bring your packed-bottled water from Nadi. There are No restaurants in the village or cooking facilities in your bure. You will be completely served by locals and taste fresh cuisine from the Homestay! Everything is prepared with organic ingredients following our traditional ancient recipes! !!! IMPORTANT !!! All visitors must present Sevu-Sevu (Kava-root) to the village Chief upon arrival. In Malakati Village, the kava root should be accompanied by a small cash donation to the chief (10 FJD per person would be appropriate) . You will be introduced to our WORLD and Real Life far-away from mass tourism and fake Kava Cerimony organized from most of Resorts. Where to BUY KAVA in Fiji? You can easily find it at Nadi fruit market or Lautoka, it shouldn't be more expensive than 30-40 FJD x couple (powder is more expensive, I would suggest to get the root). If you are not in TIME to purchase it on Viti Levu or you are already in the Island Dont WORRY! We do have some Kava here at the Village for 65 FJD. SNORKELING GEAR?
