Built between the 17th and 18th centuries, this manor house was designed by Nicolau Nasoni school to be the noble mansion of the Pessanha family who managed their rich lands granted by the King here. Today, it is still owned by this family and it is open in the form of a magnificent boutique Hotel. Solar das Arcas stands out especially for the charm of the construction. The halls, the private chapel, the open-air swimming pool with outstanding views, the traditional kitchens, the very characteristic decoration and the hospitality of the staff will delight every guest. The space was renewed by the architect José Bernardo Távora and it is situated in a productive, unique and amazing landscape, close to the magnificient Azibo beach in Macedo de Cavaleiros, one of the seven wonders of Portugal.
