The space The Taos Skybox "Stargazer" is a one bedroom/one bathroom modern, eco-conscious, sustainably built modular structure. Custom created, it's a truly unique dwelling that was designed to have a low impact on the surrounding landscape, yet stand out with a bold and striking profile that compliments its other-worldly surroundings. Located at 7,000 feet above sea level, the high desert landscape bursts with colors. An endless sea of sagebrush that rolls on for miles, mountains in all directions, and true 360° views of the Taos Valley begin to fade in the evening as the twilight stars make their nightly debut. On clear nights, billions of stars twinkle and the Milky Way begins to glow above this remarkable retreat. Sitting on the deck and gazing at the wonder of your surroundings is a memory you won't soon forget. Inside, you will find modern and comfortable accommodations. The first thing that will strike you is the view. Large doors with expansive glass that extends nearly from floor to ceiling accentuate and let in the surroundings. The bedroom contains one queen bed with a Casper Nova Hybrid memory foam mattress. A sliding glass door allows you to exit the bedroom directly onto the deck. The stylish bathroom with a floor to ceiling tiled shower also contains the washer and dryer for laundry needs. The kitchen/living area is well appointed for cooking with an oven and stove, a refrigerator and freezer, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. You will find an assortment of kitchen essentials to make your stay comfortable. Please note, there is no microwave, as the space is limited. We do provide a tea kettle and a French press, as well as ground coffee for your enjoyment. The living area contains a fold-down sofa/futon that should be comfortable enough for a single adult, or two smaller children that like each other! Enjoy a casual meal while sitting at the pub table or relaxing on the sofa at the dual coffee tables. The space is climate controlled with two independent mini split heating and cooling units. Air conditioning in Taos is truly hard to come by! Rest assured, you will be comfortable in any season. Fast fiber optic internet is accessible throughout the home via the Wi-Fi.
