The space Inside this newly renovated traditional Devon stone hay barn are concrete floors, slate and wood to give a minimally rustic yet contemporary feel. Each superking bed has an 'Emma' award-winning mattress and decadently crumpled 100% linen sheets. ('Butter Bay' bedroom has two European single mattresses (larger than normal), with softly crinkled 100% cotton muslin bedding instead of the linen, which can be put together to make a super king.) Each room has its own ensuite shower room and loo. Each bedroom has a glazed stable door which functions both as a window and a door. It opens out onto the raised walkway and lawn where you can relax, and also access the kitchen through the bi-fold doors. 'Yarmer' has a high bathroom window. In the breakfast kitchen in the morning, you can leisurely help yourselves to a continental breakfast of croissants, butter and jam, fruit and yoghurt, cereal, milk, coffee and tea. We cannot provide accommodation for pets or children due to the spring water pool just outside the kitchen steps! TV free. Guest access In the morning, come into the kitchen through the bi-fold doors (or kitchen door) where you can help yourselves to coffee and tea, provided along with milk. Join guests at the large kitchen dining table which opens out onto the garden. Help yourselves to a croissant or toast, butter and jam. You could pop it all on a tray and eat it in the garden on a rug, or at the table and chairs. Fill your bottles with the filtered spring water for your day ahead, and for your bedside. Put your drinks and nibbles in the fridge for a sundowner when you get back, before you go to your restaurant. There is a garden shower to enjoy after the beach to rinse off sand and wetsuits, or simply to amuse our neighbour! During your stay We live in the adjoining farmhouse and though we will try not to be too friendly, we are usually available in person or by phone for any queries, suggestions on where to walk, swim, surf, sup, drink, beat, booking restaurants, how to book sup boards or surf boards treks or lessons… Other things to note You don't need to worry about keys, as all of the bedrooms have keypads. For breakfast, access the kitchen through the bifold traffic door adjacent to the bedrooms, but if for any reason the bifold door is locked, there is a keypad lock on the kitchen stable door too. Obviously, we will supply the codes to you.
